Dave Pickford is an adventure photographer and writer. He works for a wide range of media and business clients on an international basis, and is the editor-in-chief of www.planetfear.com. David is also one the UK’s most accomplished climbers, with an impressive portfolio of ascents from Britain and Europe to the mountains of Arabia, Central Asia, North Africa, and the Far East. In 2003, David took the unconventional career move of riding a dilapidated Russian two-stroke motorcycle across East Asia, from Vietnam to Indonesia via China. It was on this expedition that a long-term interest in adventure journalism and photography developed into a professional commitment to taking the office outdoors. Today, David combines a busy photography schedule with editorial work and writing for traditional and new media. He covers climbing, mountaineering, and adventure sports as well as broader environmental topics across the world.
