Sarah McNair-Landry
Sarah grew up with the harsh surroundings of Baffin Bay, Canada as her playground, with her brother Eric and her parents who worked as Arctic Guides. Today, Sarah McNair-Landry, a modern day adventurer, is seeking to inspire future explorers by breaking records and accomplishing astounding achievements in some of the most unforgiving environments on the planet.
An epic ski journey across the Greenland Ice Cap to kayak a river from source to the Arctic Ocean
Sarah and her partner Erik Boomer have a truly remarkable record of expedition and adventure exploits. They will chat about their multi award-winning expedition across the Greenland Ice Cap ('Into the Twin Galaxies') kite skiing with kayaks, and then paddling from glacial source to sea, over, under and down a river whose existence they had to first establish. Exploration and honesty conveyed with clarity insight and craftmanship.
When Sarah's not in the cold, she spends her time working in film and photography. She has documented all of her expeditions, and has directed several documentaries. She is also a published photographer.
