Paul Evans
Paul is an award-winning artist and a climber.
He has exhibited throughout the UK, in the USA, and Japan. Paul’s practice often features collaborations with leading academics and poets. His ongoing ‘Seven Wonders’ project – in association with Sheffield’s Longbarrow Press – is based on Thomas Hobbes’ ‘De Mirabilibus Pecci’, the first ‘guidebook’ to the Peak District (published 1681). In his youth Paul was an accomplished ‘rock athlete’ – bouldering up to Font 7b+, and climbing up to F8b (Zeke The Freak, Rubicon Wall, Derbyshire) and E6 6b (Make it Snappy, Gardom’s Edge, Derbyshire).
