Young gun Matt Jones emerged onto the British dirt jump while still at school, before breaking into the international bike scene in 2013 at the age of 18. He's focussed, competitive and has built a strong winning mentality from a young age.
Jones's competitive nature has come from growing up riding bikes alongside his twin brother. As anyone with a sibling will know, everything is a competition when growing up, and the Jones brothers pushed each other every day to see who could be better than the other. MJ is far more than just your average 20-something. By 2014 – a standout year for the shredder from Milton Keynes – he had won Farm Jam in New Zealand (also taking home the best trick award), achieved top 10 finishes at Vienna Air King and the Bearclaw Invitational, and placed third in the X-Games Red Bull Phenom. Now slated as one of the best up-and-coming slopestyle riders in Europe, MJ is hoping to bring some more airtime and British steez to the international dirt jumping scene.
