Liv admits she’s “slightly hyperactive” which is a bit of an understatement.
Born in the French Alps, she was skiing by the age of two, ascended Mont Blanc by 14 and has spent her life hiking, skiing, paragliding and climbing in the mountains. Twice the women’s climbing world champion and three times World Cup winner, Liv was one of the first women to ascend an 8c+ (5.14c) route. That was back in 2000, and since then Liv has devoted her considerable skills to hard routes and big mountain objectives, both in the Alps and the greater ranges.
In 2017, at 40 years old, Liv set out from her base in Chamonix, to attempt to climb, ski and paraglide all 82 4,000m peaks in the Alps in a single year, with a revolving list of good friends. Although things don't always go as planned, so Liv will be giving us some insight into her inspirations and having suffered many injury setbacks, how to remain positive in the face of adversity.
