Leslie Hsu Oh
Leslie is an award winning writer and photographer.
Known for her love of mountains and taking her young kids on extreme adventures, Leslie Hsu Oh is a writer of fiction and nonfiction, whose work has been named among the distinguished stories of the year by Best American Essays. She is a Champion of Change for the White House in AAPI Storytelling and Art , a Schweitzer Fellow, and the Outdoor Editor for Panorama: The Journal of Intelligent Travel.
Her fiction and nonfiction work focusing on the outdoors has appeared or is forthcoming in Alpinist, Backpacker Magazine, Alaska Magazine, Cirque, Fourth Genre, Outside Magazine, Panorama: the Journal of Intelligent Travel, Smithsonian Magazine, and Sierra Magazine, among others. Leslie has a Masters degree from Harvard, a MFA from the University of Alaska, and has taught creative writing for over a decade.
She is currently working on a memoir called Fireweed, which features the four Sacred Mountains surrounding Navajo lands.
