Kenton Cool

Kenton is one of the world’s leading high-altitude climbers, having successfully climbed Mount Everest a record-breaking 13 times.

Thirteen-times Everest summiteer, and the first mountaineer in the world - alongside Sherpa Dorje Gyglen - to complete the Ultimate Three Peak Challenge, the so-called Triple Crown, of Nuptse, Everest and Lhotse in just three days. Kenton is also a leading high altitude guide with a reputation for being able to motivate his clients on the most challenging of climbs. His bold approach and determination to see his clients achieve their dreams has made him the most successful and sought after mountain guide of recent times.

He was nominated for the prestigious piolet d'Or in 2004 for climbing a previously unclimbed route on Annapurna III. In 2012 he fulfilled the Olympic Games pledge of placing a 1924 gold medal on the Everest summit. He is the only Briton to have skied down two 8000-metre mountains, and in 2009 he guided Sir Ranulph Fiennes to the summit of Everest, helping to raise over £3 million for Marie Curie Cancer Care.
