Graham is a qualified railway signalling engineer, who also happens to be a mountain leader and ultra marathon runner.
Based in Glasgow - or wherever the van is parked up for the night - Graham says that endurance and adventure has always fascinated him; both have been a major part of his life. He is a railway signalling engineer by trade, but as a qualified Mountain Leader his spare time is based in the Scottish Mountains – a habit that has led to full rounds of Munro and Corbett summits, a passion for fell running, scrambling and the occasional graded technical route. Given a winter, he can be seen on alpine or cross country skis and on a good day, sometimes skinning up a hillside on old touring kit.
Graham says he's been fortunate enough to participate (firmly in the “never won anything and never will” category), in ultra and mountain races around the world including the Marathon des Sables (Morocco), Ultramarthon Caballo Blanco (Mexico), Ultra-Trail Australia 100km (Australia), Transylvanian Bear 80km Race (Romania), Born to Run 50km Ultra (USA), Tromso Skyrace (Norway), and the Glencoe Skyline Race (Scotland).
