The Boardman Tasker Award for Mountain Literature
The Boardman Tasker Award for Mountain Literature is THE premier mountain literature award worldwide and commemorates the lives of Pete Boardman and Joe Tasker who were lost on the North East Ridge of Everest in 1982. It is awarded to the author of an original work, which has made an outstanding contribution to mountain literature.
The Boardman Tasker Judges had a tough job selecting the shortlist from 34 entries. So who will be the 35th winner of the coveted Boardman Tasker Prize?
Join us in the Malt Room from 1pm for an inspiring afternoon of literature, hosted by mountaineer and author Stephen Venables, with interviews and readings from the authors, including Tommy, Rob, Ed, Christopher and Bernadette and, of course, the nail-biting wait for the winner to be announced.
