This years' opening will be a free public event in the centre of Kendal. We invite local people, old and young, to come and see some amazing film footage from some of this years films.
There will be a large screen outside the Town Hall, free (non-alcoholic) mulled wine and a great party atmosphere as the 2012 festival gets underway.
Even if you've never set foot on a mountain, or skied, or mountain biked - come and see what it's all about! We think you'll be gob-smacked!
