While it is an iconic sport and true to the ethos of the Lake District, many locals (let alone the public at large) are unaware of the passion and skills of those involved in the sport. Running in her first season, much is expected of the young dog, Capetown (known also as Bess). Will she win the puppy championship? This short film is a fascinating look at the hound trailing community in Cumbria, Bess and her owner Yvonne Wilson.
