The British Mountain Guides are running free workshops for climbers and alpinists at Kendal Wall, on Saturday 17 November..
The workshops will offer a chance to learn some ropework required by climbers tackling a trip to the Alps.
There will be 3 x 30 min separate sessions on crevasse rescue, prussiking and roping up for glaciers and ridges. The sessions will run concurrently as follows:
10:00-10:30 Crevasse Rescue
10:30-11:00 Prussiking
11:00-11:30 Roping up for glaciers and ridges
Three well-known British Mountain Guides (Owain Jones, Andy Nelson and Twid Turner) will lead these sessions.
Starting time is 10:00 on Saturday 17 November at Kendal Wall. Call the Lakeland Climbing Centre on 01539 721766 to book.
If climbers wish to stay on and climb further after the sessions there will be a special rate for those attending Kendal Mountain Festival.
