Fantastic Festival Family Offering for 2018

Kendal Mountain Festival’s vision is; to inspire more people to explore and enjoy the outdoors; something we feel strongly starts with the youngest members of our community.

After fantastic feedback from last year’s Festival we are delighted to be offering for 2018 an expanded family programme; a combination of old favourites and exciting new events – many of which are free!

We hope you feel inspired and as excited as us about what is on our doorstep, and this year bring your family to Share the Adventure at Kendal Mountain Festival!

The Opening Ceremony

Celebrate the start of the Kendal Mountain Festival 2018 on Thursday 15 November with a welcome from Sir Chris Bonington. Then join us on our very own ‘Alpine Descent’ down Captain French Lane complete with flag waving, cow bells and a live band! Once we reach the Brewery Arts Centre join us to watch our Festival trailer and a selection of some of this year’s short films on the big screen. All for FREE and suitable for families and anyone with a sense of adventure!

The procession will start at 17.30 outside the Riflemans Arms on Kendal’s Fellside.
